This steak pasta recipe is one you will soon have at the top of the list of your favorite recipes because it is easy, simple, quick, requires minimal prep and it is absolutely delicious!
You can get this steak and pasta dish ready in just 20 minutes making it a good option for when you need to quickly make a restaurant-quality meal in no time.
Delicious juicy marinated steak with pasta in creamy sauce not only makes a good weeknight meal for the family but is great for romantic dinners and all occasions.
It requires little effort to make it. Pan fry steak, rest it, and cut, cook the pasta, make the sauce, and combine. That's it!
You can use any cut of Steak be it Sirloin, ribeye, flank steak, or any inexpensive cut. I like to use Sirloin or rib eye steak for a juicy moist, tender flavor-packed pasta and steak.
My pasta of choice for today is spaghetti because steak spaghetti is superb! I also like to use fettuccine, linguine, tagliatelle, and short pasta like rigatoni, fusilli, and penne.
Once you make this creamy steak pasta, it will soon be on rotation on your meal timetable.
This was made with cream cheese and Parmesan but you can substitute cream cheese for double cream/heavy cream, or coconut cream.

Pasta For Steak
What pasta goes with steak? Almost all types of pasta!
It now depends on the ones you like. You can use long pasta like spaghetti, linguine, fettucine, tagliatelle or short pasta like Rigatoni, fusilli, and penne.
I have tried all of those listed above and they all taste delicious. You can rotate the type you use for variations in textures.
Ingredients

Steak- I like to use Sirloin or rib-eye steak. You can also use other types like strip steak, skirt steak, flank, and hanger steak.
Pasta- Spaghetti, fettuccine, linguine, rigatoni, penne, or any of your choice.
Cream cheese - Can be substituted for heavy cream or coconut milk.
Onion
Garlic
Parsley
Paprika
Italian seasoning
Salt
Oil
Butter
Parmesan - Substitute for Cheddar or Mozarella.
How To Make Steak Pasta
Cook the steak- Season the steak with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.
If you'd like to use another seasoning, here's a good steak rub recipe, or if you prefer marinated steak, use this steak marinade.
Add butter and olive oil to a pan or skillet, heat up then add the steak. Sear on each side for 2- 3 minutes depending on how rare or well-cooked you prefer the steak.
Transfer the steak to a plate, and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it up.
Cook pasta- Add water to a pot and let it rapidly boil before adding salt, and pasta. Stir the pasta and cook it till it is aldente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. You can also follow the packaging instruction for cooking the pasta.
Make the creamy sauce- Add a tablespoon of olive oil, onion, and garlic into the pan or skillet used for cooking the steak, and saute until it's soft then add the Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pour in the pasta water, cream cheese, and Parmesan then stir and cook for 2-3 minutes or till it's smooth and creamy.
Combine steak, pasta, and creamy sauce
Add the boiled pasta to the creamy sauce, add chopped parsley
simmer, and mix till well combined.
Transfer the sliced steak to the pan.
Take off the heat and serve.
Variations
Add sliced bell peppers to make it pepper steak pasta
You can add sundried tomatoes, Spinach, or peas.
Drizzle steak with balsamic
Want to make it more cheesy? Serve with extra Parmesan or Gorgonzola.
What To Serve With
This is a delicious meal that can be eaten as it is however you can serve it with other foods for flavors and textures. Some suggestions of sides that it can be served with are:
Vegetables: Pan fried vegetables, baked vegetables, air fried baby carrots, Mediterranean roasted vegetables, roasted carrots
Bread: No yeast bread, garlic bread, dinner rolls, Ciabatta
Drinks: Wine of your choice, cucumber juice, carrot juice, Sorrel juice.
How To Store
Leftovers can be kept fresh and tasty by storing in the fridge or freezer. To store, let it completely cool then transfer it to an airtight container, and put it in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Simply reheat on the stovetop, or in the microwave.
For reheating on the stovetop, add the pasta and steak in a pan, add a splash of water or milk, and cook on low heat till it's warmed through and creamy.
In the microwave- Add to a microwaveable plate, sprinkle the pasta with milk or water, and microwave at high settings at 30 seconds intervals till it is heated through.

- Cook the steak to how you like it. Rare, medium, or well done.
- Don't wash the pan after searing the steak, the brown bits flavor the pasta.
- After pan frying steak, don't cut it immediately. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it up.
