INSTANT POT SPAGHETTI RECIPE
With this recipe you get perfectly cooked, delicious spaghetti. No mushyness or sticking together and all parts are cooked. This easy pressure cooker spaghetti recipe is made with minced beef but you can make without (I have included recipe for both), it's flavorful and well seasoned. I like spaghetti noodles in instant pot because it's
- Easy, quick and delicious.
- a one pot recipe, no draining, no colander needed and thus less tools to clean after cooking.
- can be cooked with or without meat.
- Easier than stovetop method
- My family loves eating it.
I tested and make this in my instant pot duo 6 quart but you can use the 3qt , 8 qt or any other brand of pressure cooker. If you do use another brand of electric pressure cooker, note that cooking time may vary and to adjust accordingly.

INSTANT POT SPAGHETTI BURN MESSAGE
Burn message can appear if you do not follow the instructions as detailed in this recipe. For example, the pasta sauce if stirred in can cause burn error as the instant pot needs thin liquid at the bottom to come to pressure. When sauce is stirred in, there's no thin liquid for the IP to work with.
In the incident that you do get burn message, If the instant pot has come to pressure, turn it off and leave as it is (don't depressurise pot) for 10 minutes. The retained pressure will cook the food. After 10 minutes you can then depressurise and open the pot.
If pot hasn't come to pressure before burn message, turn off the IP, quick release pressure, open the lid and scrape any stuck bits off the bottom of the pot. Finish off cooking with the saute or slow cook button.
WHY IS MY SPAGHETTI STUCK TOGETHER
This happen when there is not enough liquid in the pot to cook spaghetti or when the noodles is not properly spread out in the instant pot. To avoid this is why this recipe states to put water at the same level as the spag noodles and to break and spread out the spaghetti noodles.
The oil added in the recipe also help prevent spaghetti sticking together.
HOW LONG TO COOK SPAGHETTI IN INSTANT POT
For this recipe, I do 8 minutes manual pressure cook on high then quick release. With the water ratio, no foaming or spewing when you quick release and you get firm, delicious instant pot spaghetti bolognese.
HOW TO STORE
To store leftover, put in airtight container or freezer bags, label and store

In the freezer– Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To reheat– Put in the fridge overnight to defrost and heat up on the stove or microwave when ready to eat. Frozen spaghetti can also be heated in the microwave from frozen.
