    Juicy chicken 101 is one of my favorite juicy chicken recipes because not only is it easy and quick to make, but the boneless chicken breasts come out tender, moist, flavorful, and delicious every time all in under 30 minutes! 

    Don't you love TikTok for some of the awesome recipes that come out of it? This viral tiktok chicken recipe was created by Sammypur. It uses a double cooking method (pan searing and baking) to produce chicken that is tender, and full of flavors that take your tastebuds on a delicious adventure with each bite.

    Making this chicken breast is easy and requires no special culinary skills. It takes less than 30 minutes to prepare it, with both prep and cooking time included. Moreover, the ingredients needed are few and accessible. So, without any ado, let’s get cooking!

    Few Ingredients- It makes use of a few ingredients. Seasoning, oil, and chicken are what you need to make this tasty chicken.

    Juicy and Packed full of flavor- As the name suggests, It is one of the best juicy chicken recipes out there. It's crispy and golden on the outside and moist on the inside. It is cooked to perfection.

    Versatile- I love chicken breast for many reasons. It’s an excellent source of protein and the most versatile chicken part. It can be paired with anything, used in sandwiches, wraps, soups, pasta, and more.

    One pan- It is cooked in a cast iron skillet so not a lot of dishes to wash up after.

    Ingredients

    Here are the ingredients you'll need to make Juicy Chicken 101:

    Chicken breast- I used skinless boneless chicken breast. You can use boneless chicken thighs but adjust the cooking time accordingly. 

    Herbs and spices- garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, parsley, salt, paprika

    Avocado oil- This is the oil of choice however you can also use olive oil, vegetable oil, or sunflower oil.

    How To Make Juicy Chicken 101- Step by Step Instructions

    Here's a step by step directions on how to make juicy chicken breast :

    Preheat the oven to 400F/200C.

    In a small container, mix garlic granules, onion granules, paprika, black pepper, parsley, and salt.

    Pat the chicken dry with paper towels then apply the seasoning on both sides of the chicken breasts evenly.

    If you have the time, let the chicken marinate for 20-30 minutes after seasoning. It will help them absorb flavor. 

    Pan Sear- Add avocado oil to a cast iron skillet over medium heat.

    When heated, arrange the chicken breasts in the pan and cook for 3 minutes without moving then flip the chicken and cook for another 3 minutes without moving them.

    Bake- Place the cast iron skillet with chicken in the preheated oven then bake the chicken at 200C/400F for about 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reads at least 165F. Use a good-quality thermometer for accurate readings. 

    Rest it and serve- After the chicken has reached a temperature of 165 degrees, take it out of the oven and rest it for 5 minutes. Once all the juices redistribute throughout the meat, you can cut it.

    Serving Suggestion

    Here are some side dishes that you can serve it with:

    Potatoes- Baked sliced potatoes, Boiled potatoes, Onion mashed potatoes,

    Vegetables- Boiled broccoli, Pan fried vegetables, Pan fried carrots

    Rice- Yellow rice, spicy rice

    Pasta- Spicy pasta, Creamy lemon pasta

    How To Store

    If you have any leftovers, when it's cooled, put it in an airtight container and refrigerate it. Make sure the fridge temperature is below 40F as you store the chicken. It should be good to eat for 3-4 days maximum. If you want to store it for longer, freezing would be a better option as it will last in the freezer for up to 3 months.

    Reheat- Reheat in the oven, air fryer, or microwave.

    Expert Tips

    • Try experimenting with different seasonings to add your unique twist to the recipe. For example, sometimes, I like to add some lemon pepper to the seasoning mix to make things a little more flavorful.
    • Cook the chicken to an internal temperature of at least 165F.
    • Ensure the pan is heated before adding chicken as this will help cook the outside of the chicken immediately giving it a good sear and preventing the juices from coming out. 
    • If the chicken breasts are uneven, pound them with a meat mallet. This will even out the meat, ensuring it cooks evenly. 
    • Rest the chicken for at least 5 minutes before cutting so the juice has time to redistribute inside.

    Is it better to cook chicken on high or low heat?

    To make the seasonings adhere better to the chicken, try rubbing the chicken with some olive oil beforehand. You can also use avocado oil if you would like. 

    Can I make juicy chicken in air fryer?

    Yes, you can. Once you've pan-seared the chicken, transfer them into the air fryer and air fry at 400F/200C for 5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165F.

    How do you know if you have overcooked the chicken?

    If you overcook the chicken, it becomes tough and dry, with no juices whatsoever. It’s like eating sawdust but with some spices for flavoring.
