How To Make Asian Chicken Marinade
In a clean bowl, add the ginger, garlic, onion, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, and sesame oil.
Mix till all are thoroughly combined.
It's ready to use immediately or store for later.
How To Marinate Asian Chicken
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels
Add into a ziploc bag then add in the marinade.
Let the air out of the bag then Zip it.
Massage the bag till the marinade has covered the chicken.
Put the Ziploc in the fridge and marinate the chicken for 4 hours up to 24 hours.
How Long To Marinate Asian Chicken
This depends on how much time you have before you have to cook the chicken. If you don't have much time to spare, then marinate it for at least 30 minutes. I like to marinate it for 4-6 hours but it can be marinated for up to 12 hours when time is not of the essence.
Marinating overnight in the fridge is a good option.

To cook Asian Marinated Chicken- Remove the chicken from the marinade. Place on the grill on medium heat, and cook each side until it is cooked through.
In the Air Fryer- Place the chicken in the air fryer in a single layer without overlapping them. Set the air fryer to 400F and air fry at 400F/200C for 15 minutes. Flip the chicken with a tong and continue to air fry for 10-15 minutes or till cooked through.
To Cook it In the Oven- Remove the chicken from the marinade and transfer them to a baking paper-lined tray. Set the oven to 400F/200C then cook marinated Asian chicken for 40-45 minutes or until cooked. If it's browning too quickly, cover the tray with foil.
How To Store
Put the marinade in a sealable container and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days.
If you want to store it for longer, store it in the freezer instead. It will last in the freezer for up to 3 months.
When ready to use, put it in the fridge to thaw overnight, then mix together to combine.
