Instant pot carrots! This steamed carrots is naturally sweet, delicious, healthy and cook in just 2 minutes. Serve this pressure cooker carrots as sides to rice, meat or any other food of choice for a great meal.
Wash and slice off the ends of the carrots. Cut the carrots into chunks around 2 inch size.You can use potato peeler to scrape off the outer layer of the carrots if you wish but i do not as i like to retain all nutrients.
Add water in the instant pot and put steamer basket or trivet in the pot.Put the carrots in the steamer basket or trivet then close the instant pot with it's lid. Turn the valve into sealing position.
Set instant pot to manual pressure cook high 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes pressure cooking, do a quick release.
Take out carrots and pour in a bowl. If using butter, add on the carrots immediately so it melts into it.
Sprinkle with black pepper and salt (optional)
Serve and enjoy with sides of choice.

I personally prefer to steam in a steamer basket or place on a trivet so they are not directly in the water. If you prefer not to use steamer or trivet, put carrots in the pot and follow the recipe with the same cooking time.How long does it take to steam carrots in the instant potThis depends on how thick cut the carrots are.
