I used smoked paprika in the recipe because of its unique smokey flavor but you can also go for the regular one.
Experiment with the herbs - I used thyme, oregano, and basil in the seasoning, but you can also use other herbs. If I had to choose other herbs than the above ones, I would probably parsley.
Mix in a clean dry bowl or measure into the spice jar, cover, and shake till combined.
I recommend using a tablespoon of cajun blackened seasoning to 500g of chicken, fish, shrimp, or other protein.
You can also use it for non-meat foods like potatoes, broccoli, and asparagus. The seasoning goes well with those vegetables.
