This creamy spicy pasta recipe is so easy and quick to make. Pasta in spicy sauce is comfort food that is flavorful, delicious, and with the perfect level of seasoning and spice. Eat on its own or serve with baked chicken drumsticks, beef, fish, or vegetables. Let me show you how to make it in less than 30 minutes.
1teaspoonSriracha or ¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepperor to taste
1teaspoonSmoked paprika
½teaspoonParsley
¼teaspoonbasil, and ¼ teaspoon Oregano
1tablespoonOlive oil
80gCream cheese or heavy cream
1cupbroth or water
5gstock cubeoptional
Instructions
Cook the pasta- Pour water into a pot and bring it to a rapid boil. Add salt then pour in the pasta. Stir the pasta and cook it uncovered until cooked tender but firm.When cooked, drain the pasta in a colander (Here's a more detailed post on how to boil pasta).
While the pasta is cooking, make the sauce.Place a pan or pot on the stove. Add olive oil then heat on medium heat.
Pour in the chopped onions and saute them till it's tender and fragrant.Add chopped garlic and fry for 1 minute then add in tomato paste.
Fry tomato paste for 2 minutes then add Sriracha, basil, parsley, oregano, stock cubes, and salt.Stir and cook on low heat for 2 minutes
Add cream cheese and broth or water to the spicy sauce, stir, and cook on low heat for 1-2 minutes.
Mix Pasta with spicy sauce- Add the cooked pasta into the creamy spicy sauce and stir till well combined.
Take it off heat, serve, and enjoy your spicy pasta dish.
Notes
You can use heavy cream instead of cream cheese.
Use any short or long type of pasta.
Adjust the spice to suit your tolerance level.
Substitute sriracha for cayenne, or any hot pepper.
