This homemade Spaghetti seasoning recipe is super quick and put together in under 5 minutes. If you are looking for the best seasoning for spaghetti, this is the one. spaghetti seasoning mix in a bowl.

    Spaghetti Seasoning Recipe

This spaghetti seasoning recipe is so good you will be using it for all your pasta seasoning, tomato soups, salads, and a lot more.

A good seasoning for spaghetti, this mix contains natural herbs and spices that pair well with pasta and give your dish maximum flavor.

Making your own spice blend, you know what is in it and can customize the amount of each ingredient to suit your taste. Feel like you prefer to have more black pepper for spice or rather cayenne? Feel free to adjust the quantity to suit your preference.

Unlike store brands like McCormick spaghetti seasoning packet, and others, homemade works out cheaper and save you money. You get more for your money and use ingredients you already have at home. No hidden salt, artificial coloring, or preservatives. You use a few simple ingredients to get the best spice mix.

Spaghetti spices and herbs used in this recipe include basil, parsley, oregano, thyme, onion, garlic, and pepper. They all come together to create an aromatic, flavorful, spice mix.

I have used a bit of black pepper in this recipe but if you want spicy spaghetti seasoning, add some pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.

This is similar to Italian seasoning but better and is one you should have in your spice rack. It is gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based.

    Tips

    • Ensure that all tools that will be used in making the spices are clean and properly dried before use. Wet tools can cause the seasoning to clump.
    • Taste the seasoning and adjust the pepper to taste. You can also add more of the spice you want the flavor enhanced. After all, this is homemade and customizable.
    • Use herbs and spices that have a long shelf life.
    • If you don't like it textured, you can grind the seasoning to a smooth blend. Transfer the herbs and spices into a dry mill and give it a quick blend then you have a smooth mix.
    • When seasoning spaghetti, don't pour the seasoning directly over a steaming pot as the steam can get into it and make it clump. Use a spoon to measure the quantity needed.
    • Always store in a cool dry place.
    • Anytime you want to use it, shake the spice container to remix the herbs and spices.

I like crushed red peppers in my sauce. How much should I put in for this seasoning mix? I usually use 1/2 to One teaspoon of crushed red peppers flakes.
