    How To Store

Put the seasoning in an airtight container or spice jar. Label with name and dates then store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

It can be stored for up to 6 months or longer if the ingredients used have a longer expiry date which in that case use the nearest expiry date. Make sure to check the expiration date of each ingredient before use.

I personally prefer to make in small batches that last no longer than 3 months.

Shrimp can be seasoned just before cooking it but to get more of the seasoning flavor into the shrimp, it's best to season and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes. It can be seasoned for up to 12 hours if kept in the fridge.

    How Much Seasoning To Use

    Tips

    • Give the seasoning a good shake before use so as to remix any spice or herb that might settle at the bottom of the jar.
    • Make in small batches and store for not longer than 6 months to  fresh and prevent flavor loss.
    • When you want to use it, don't pour from the jar directly over steaming food as the moisture from the steam can get into the jar and cause it to clump or moldy.
    • Add cayenne
    • To get finer texture for the seasoning, after mixing, you can grind in a dry mill. This also combines the ingredients better than just mixing by hand.
