    Best Potatoes For Roasting

The best potatoes for roasting are floury potatoes. At the time of harvest, they are low in water content and most of the sugars are converted to starch. This makes them produce fluffy inside, and crispy outer when roasted. Such potatoes include Maris Piper, King Edwards, Desiree, Estima, Russet potatoes, and others.

    Tips For Roast Potato Seasoning

    • Adjust pepper quantity to suit how spicy you want the seasoning.
    • Shake the seasoning well before use so as to remix the ingredients that might have settled at the bottom of the jar.
    • Don't pour the seasoning from the jar directly over steaming food to prevent moisture from the steam from getting into the jar and causing it to clump.
    • To get a finer texture for the seasoning, after mixing, you can grind in a dry mill. This also combines the ingredients better than just mixing by hand
    • Store the seasoning in an airtight container away from direct sunlight.
    • Pat potatoes dry before seasoning.
    • Salt the potatoes as desired.
    • Potatoes can be cooked immediately after being seasoned.
