Peel the skin off then cut them into shapes. They can be cut into any shape of your choice be it cubed, or sliced, however, cut them into equal sizes.
Rinse the sweet potatoes, strain and add them to a pot.
Add water to cover the potatoes by at least 1 inch.
Cover the pot, put on the stove, and boil sweet potatoes till they are tender.
When it is fork tender, take off the heat and drain.
